New Shoes!

The most beautiful new shoes! I bought these yesterday from the Trafford Centre, in ‘Schuh’ to be precise.
I'm usually a red shoe kinda girl, but after trying on both the red and green countless times and aggravating the staff, I finally decided on the green ones! But the red ones are equally gorgeous.
They remind me of Dorothy's shoes from The Wizard of Oz. And they were only £65!
I wore them last night to a Halloween party and had lots of compliments, so well done shoes!

Earrings, Kisses and Scott

My earring collection is nicely expanding. The Skelton’s are glow in the dark for Halloween!

Mum bought these Hershey's kisses from Selfridges in the Trafford centre yesterday. Yummy.

Polaroid picture of Scott, Molly, Ella ( the choccy labrador's) and Harrison the cat.

Hair Dye

Today's impulsive decision.....

Dying two streaks of my hair blue and pink. I did however opt for semi-permanent
but I actually really like it so I may go all out permanent.
Colours - Flamingo Pink, and Capri Blue from Crazy Colour.
I only chose two small sections, just in case.....

The bottle says wear gloves - In hindsight I would wear gloves.
Though I do like the effect the ink has left J
The outcome - Pink = Works pretty well I think.
Blue - Not so good! It dosnt take as well to my hair.

Italian Pastries

Yummy Italian Pastries from Chester Market. Some were gorgeous (the cannoli's filled with nutella), though a couple like the pink one were a tad sickly. They had other lovely foods like breads, olives salami, prosciutto, wines etc.
It's starting to feel more like Winter now, and I know I shouldn't say it so early but,
 I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

Liverpool & KATY PERRY!

On Tuesday I went to see the magical Katy Perry. We braved the wind and rain of the classic British weather and sat in line for three hours to get a prime spot. After another three hours queuing inside, we somehow managed to bag ourselves standing positions in the front row! Such a good day, and so, so, so worth all the waiting.
This is just a little peak of what I had in my bag that day. And the other is Harrison inspecting the leftovers the next day.

The pictures are a little blurred as we were too engrossed in watching her to be able to take a decent shot. But they do show how close we actually were to her!

This shot was from the very end, we got foam from a candy coloured hose squirted at us, and then sprayed with pink and white confetti. They also had silver hearts and sweets shapes (I collected a handful at the end of course)

  Steph being covered in foam!

(This wasn't our photo, but it's clear and shows one of her gorgeous stage outfits.)

She is 100% the best performer I have ever seen. I just love her music, her voice, her style and think she seems like a really smart and interesting person. WE LOVE KATY PERRY.COM

New Headbands

Yesterday I bought these two lovely headbands from Primark in Liverpool. I love the ethnic feel to them both, and again the colours (you can probably see how much I like colour by now) are very pretty.

Both were £2.00 each :) Cheap as chips !

Raspberry & Peach Breakfast Rolls.

Ingredients:
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast (active dry), 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 cup warm milk, 4 tablespoons melted butter, 3 egg yolks, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 can
of peach halfs, 2 handfulls of raspberry's. ( I used frozen because we didn't have fresh, they worked fine , but fresh ideally as they dont make the dough as wet).
Glaze:
1 Cup of icing sugar, squeeze of lemon juice, and a little water

Microwave the milk and butter until the butter is just melted. Add the sugar and yeast and let that just sit for 2-3 minutes (this lets it cool down before adding the egg).
Stir in the egg yolks, honey and extract. Pour this into a large bowl with the flour and salt. Stir until well combined. Knead the dough a few times until it’s in a ball shape. Place this in a lightly oiled bowl and allow to rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough into a long rectangular shape. Add the peach half’s and raspberry's. (You could replace the fruit for nuts, butter, sugar or spices, whatever takes your fancy).
Roll up into a long log and slice into rolls. Place the rolls in a well-greased pan, then add little flicks of butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar, (this will caramelise nicely)
Bake at Gas Mark 4, (350 F) for 40-45 minutes.

Make the glaze by squeezing the lemon into the icing sugar; add a little water until your preferred consistency. Then drizzle over the rolls.
Yummy :)

Oh Land

Oh Land are a Danish electro pop band who were the support act for Katy Perry.

Admittedly after waiting for six hours in the wind and rain for Katy, I wasn’t very interested with these guys at the time. However on reflection (and countless listens on ITunes today) I think they’re awesome. Have a listen, I particularly like Son of a gun! They have a 70's feel and Nanna the lead singer has such great style.
( I Will post about the Katy Perry Concert once i've uploaded the pictures!)

What I love this week ♥ - Colour

1. I adore this picture! Maybe I’m not quite ready to try this out myself, but never say never.....

2. I love the colours of the tongue and the sprinkles.

 3. This was a piece I created for my A-Level Art. I collected old food packaging and arranged them according to their colour. Approx 2m x 1m

4. Again, just so beautiful.

 5. One of my new favourite artists, Tony Cragg.
 6. A wonderful, colourful print of hammer head sharks.

7. I love the shape of the deer, and the antlers.

8. Steps Reunion! I cannot believe these guys are having a reunion tour, I used to love them so much as a kid! I love the new comeback look, and hope everything is a success for them :)

Lola the Belgian Hare

A gorgeous new addition to the family !
Her name is Lola and she is a Belgian hare from Dudley. She is 8 1/2 weeks old.
This is also Scott my boyfriend working at my parent’s shop, in his rather fetching white overalls and gas mask!

We're debating whether to breed from her eventually, but currently she will just be very loved and happy, and both an indoor and outdoor hare as we have a hutch outside, but bring her in during the day.

Pea Earring's

I recently bought these beautiful earrings from  Claire's Accessorises! (Just £4.00!) I don't usually shop there, but on a whim decided to go in and I found these beauties! I just love the colour and their little faces.

Scotts Birthday

For Scotts Birthday I decided to make him a piece of artwork!
I sketched the shape onto canvas, and then painted it. I then bought various coloured sequins from Hobby craft and spent the next couple of days sticking them down.

I was inspired by Andy Warhol the Pop art genius, and Marty Thornton who creates wonderful glamorous Pop art pieces with mosaic sequins.

Goats Cheese salad

This was so so good!
Grilled Goats cheese, salad leaves, balsamic dressing, polenta croutons, toasted seeds and raspberry pulse (saucy drizzle) from Archie Browns in Cornwall.
They specialise in Vegan and Vegetarian food, and they also have a healthfood shop downstairs.
Well worth trying if you are ever in Penzance in Cornwall.
